Rehab

Hi all off to rehab in the morning 22nd, not the rehab most people thought I would be going to! but its the next step in this process.

My right hand is getting better but not as fast as I would like, and the left hand is my life line.
doing laps of the hospital in the wheal char to get my arms stronger but still could be Beaten by a little girl in an arm wrestle but rehab should help with that

That's it for know, thanks for all your support!

Picture of Johnny today Saturday 2rd November

Johnny was able to be put in the wheelchair again today for 30 Mins.
He was trying so much to wheel it on his own, its great to see him so positive and determined to do whatever he can do get moving.

Right hand fingers started to move slightly, hopefully like my left hand soon

Got into the wheelchair on Wednesday and wheeled myself a few feet and back again but can't sit for long as I have a big bed sore on me arse (johnnys words not mine:)

Story So Far

7 weeks ago Johnny travelled to the Barcelona Spine Hospital to undergo
routine disc replacement surgery on the top of his spine. After the operation, two
hematomas (bleeding) developed, one in his neck and the other on his spine.

Johnny was rushed down to surgery in an effort to drain both hematomas and
stabilise him. Unfortunately after the surgery, he was left paralysed from his
bellybutton down.

After Johnny's family went on the Joe Duffy Liveline Show, he was air ambulanced
back to the Mater Spinal Unit where he is now. There is hope that Johnny will walk
again but it's uncertain how long this will take. Johnny and Maite have 2 girls, 4 and 2,
and Maite is 6 months pregnant.

They need as much funding as possible to pay for their mortgage and bills and the many
other unexpected expenses they now have as a result of this situation.

We will be oragnising a number of fundraising activities over the next couple of
months and would really appreciate any support you can give.

Many Thanks,

Chappie's Challenge.
